I love how athletes approach planning — for their jump, or their run, throw, jab, etc.
They do it in their heads first — the best of them anyway. They “see” themselves doing it in their mind’s eye — going through all the steps, all the physical motions, like mental motivation. Then they’re able to turn that “planning” into execution.
It’s all mental to them — after they reach a certain level of mastery, of course.
